THE TOWPATH
NEWSLETTER
PURPOSE & GOALS The
purpose of this newsletter is: nTo communicate
with & educate the readers and tell meaningful stories with accuracy,
clarity, pictures & illustrations.
We want to share with you some of the history of New Bremen, Lock Two,
German Township and the surrounding
area. (People from all these areas
attended the New Bremen churches and were otherwise involved in New Bremen's
history.) We want to promote
communication among all our members who have New Bremen "roots"
by encouraging all of you to participate. Send us your articles and related pictures about your New
Bremen memories or New Bremen connections for possible future Towpath
use (or just to preserve the history). nKeeping
you informed about
the Association's activities and its membership & financial status. nPromoting
membership & participation. nPromoting
special events, projects, displays. nAttracting
visitors to the
museum. nHelping
people with genealogical queries. nWe continue to strive to make The
Towpath interesting and educational and want to keep it as a means of communicating
with our many New Bremen natives (or descendants of New Bremen ancestors) who
are scattered all over the United States.
Your letters, stories and pictures are always welcomed as they often
provide inspiration for Towpath articles. Any suggestions you may have on how to further improve The
Towpath are also welcomed. nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
